• Srikanth and Chalapathi Rao first shared screen space in 'Preyasi Raave' (1999) because the director needed a reliable senior actor to play the hero's father — and Chalapathi Rao was the first call. Srikanth later said he felt nervous acting opposite someone who had been in the industry since the 1970s.
• In 'Oka Radha Iddaru Krishnula Pelli' (2003), Chalapathi Rao deliberately slowed down his dialogue delivery to match Srikanth's more relaxed comic timing. Srikanth later admitted that Rao's patience let him try longer pauses for laughs — something he couldn't do with faster co-stars.
