• Ramarajan and Reka first paired up in 'Namma Ooru Nalla Ooru' (1986) because director Visu needed a fresh, innocent-looking couple to sell a village romance. Reka was just 16, and Ramarajan was already a star — but Visu bet on their age gap working like a charm.
• In 'Enga Ooru Pattukaran' (1987), Ramarajan deliberately slowed down his dialogue delivery to match Reka's natural, hesitant style. That mismatch became their signature — he'd rush, she'd pause, and the tension made every argument scene crackle.
