• Muthuraman didn't want to cast Radha in 'Enkeyo Ketta Kural' (1982). He thought she was too young and inexperienced. Radha's mother personally convinced him to give her a chance. That film became their first hit together.
• On the sets of 'Naan Mahaan Alla' (1984), Muthuraman realized Radha could handle intense emotional scenes without rehearsal. He started giving her the script only minutes before the shot. She delivered the climax in one take — something he later said no other actress of that era could do.
• Their 1983 film 'Thoongadhe Thambi Thoongadhe' directly inspired the 1990s trend of comedy-horror in Tamil cinema. Years later, director K. S. Ravikumar admitted he rewatched this film before making 'Muthu' (1995) to study how Muthuraman balanced Radha's comic timing with Rajinikanth's energy.
• Radha and Muthuraman never spoke outside work. Not once. She later said in an interview that he was 'all business' on set — no chit-chat, no meals together, no phone calls. Yet they made seven films in four years without a single reported fight.
• Radha once said: 'Muthuraman sir never praised me. Not once. But he kept casting me. That was his way of saying I was good enough.'
