Sundar C. told press that he cast them together because 'they looked like they had actually been married for years.'
• In Veeram (2014), Thambi Ramaiah played the comic sidekick while Devadarshini played the hero's sister. • Thambi Ramaiah once told a radio host: 'Devadarshini is the only actress who can make me look like a better actor without saying a word. She just stands there and reacts, and suddenly my jokes land better.' He said this during the promotions of Saahasam (2016).
