• Sathish was a last-minute replacement in Bairavaa (2017). The original actor dropped out, and Thambi Ramaiah personally recommended Sathish to director Bharathan, saying he'd nail the comedy track. That call got Sathish his first big-budget Vijay film.
• In Velaikkaran (2017), Thambi Ramaiah played the weary factory supervisor while Sathish played the chirpy sidekick. On set, Thambi would deliberately slow down his dialogue delivery to force Sathish to match his rhythm — turning Sathish's usual fast-talking style into a more grounded, reactive performance.
• During Mr. Local (2019), Thambi Ramaiah and Sathish shared a room in Chennai for three weeks because the production ran over budget. They'd rehearse scenes at 2 AM in the hotel corridor, waking up other guests. The hotel manager eventually asked them to stop — but the film's comedy track was entirely built from those late-night sessions.
• Sathish said in a 2021 interview: 'Thambi sir doesn't just act with you — he directs you in the moment. In 100 Percent Kaadhal, he whispered the exact pause I needed before my punchline. That's why our scenes look effortless.'
• Their double-act in Velaikkaran (2017) directly inspired director Rajesh to cast them again in Mr. Local (2019). Rajesh told the press he wrote the entire comedy subplot specifically around their real-life dynamic — the older man scolding the younger one like a son.
• In Rajavamsam (2021), Thambi Ramaiah insisted Sathish improvise every single line in their confrontation scene. Sathish froze for 10 seconds on the first take. Thambi then slapped him lightly on the cheek and said, 'Now you're angry — use it.' The final take made it to the film exactly as Sathish delivered it, raw and unscripted.
