• Nayantara was just 20 and fresh off her Malayalam hits when she signed Chandramukhi. Nassar was already a veteran. She later admitted she was terrified of acting opposite him — he had to calm her down before their first scene together.
• In Iru Mugan (2016), Nassar played a RAW officer while Nayantara played a spy. Their only scene together is a tense interrogation — she later said he deliberately underplayed his lines to make her look more intimidating on screen.
• Nassar directed Nayantara in a stage play for a charity event in 2012. She called it the most nerve-wracking performance of her life because he made her rehearse a single monologue 40 times.
• Their only non-Tamil film together, Adhurs (2010), was a Telugu comedy where Nassar played a blind man. Nayantara's comic timing in that film directly led to her being cast in the Telugu blockbuster Simhadri — a role she got because the director saw her Adhurs rushes.
• "Nassar sir doesn't act. He just becomes the character. I learned to stop 'performing' and start 'being' after watching him on set." — Nayantara, in a 2017 interview with The Hindu.
• Nassar gifted Nayantara a vintage Tamil film poster from her birth year (1984) after they wrapped Chandramukhi. She still has it framed in her home office.
