• They first worked together in Pava Mannippu (1961) because M. R. Radha personally requested director A. Bhimsingh to cast M. V. Rajamma as the female lead. Radha had seen her stage work and insisted she was the only one who could match his intensity in the courtroom climax.
• In Aalayamani (1962), Radha played a blind man and Rajamma played his wife. Radha deliberately slowed his dialogue delivery during their scenes together, forcing Rajamma to fill the silence with micro-expressions. That push-and-pull became the emotional core of the film.
• Their pairing in Saradha (1962) directly inspired the 1964 hit Pachai Vilakku, where the same director tried to recreate their dynamic with a different actress. It didn't work — audiences kept asking why Rajamma wasn't in the role.
