Pava Mannippu(1961)
'Paava Mannippu' (1961) is a Tamil-language drama film directed and edited by A. Bhimsingh. The ensemble cast includes Sivaji Ganesan, Gemini Ganesan, Savitri, Devika, and M. R. Radha. The story follows four children separated from their parents in childhood and raised by foster parents of different religious backgrounds — Hindu, Muslim, and Christian. The film explores themes of greed, revenge, love, and forgiveness as the children grow up unaware of their true identities. It won the National Film Award for Second Best Feature Film, making it the first South Indian film to achieve this honour. The film was a commercial success, running for 175 days in theatres, and achieved cult status in Tamil cinema. It was released on 16 March 1961.

Storyline
A greedy jeweller murders a colleague and blames an innocent worker. The worker's wife dies of shock, and the worker kidnaps the jeweller's son in revenge. Four children are separated and raised in different religious homes. Years later, they fall in love across religious lines, unaware of their shared past. The jeweller will stop at nothing to destroy the man who stands in his way — even if that man is his own son.
