• Raghavendra Rao cast Rambha in 'Allari Premikudu' (1994) after seeing her in a Tamil ad film. She was barely 18 and had zero Telugu film experience. He bet on her raw energy over seasoned actresses.
• On the sets of 'Muddula Priyudu' (1994), Raghavendra Rao would literally act out every scene for Rambha — including the female parts — to show her the exact expression he wanted. She later said he directed her like a puppeteer, but it made her a natural in front of the camera.
• Their third film together, 'Bombay Priyudu' (1996), was a direct remake of the Tamil hit 'Bombay' (1995). But Raghavendra Rao stripped out all the political tension and turned it into a pure romance — a move that made Rambha the go-to 'Bombay girl' for Telugu remakes for years.
• Raghavendra Rao personally drove Rambha to the hospital when she fell ill during the shoot of 'Moodu Mukkalata' (2000). He waited outside the ER for four hours. She later called him her 'cinema father' in a private conversation.
• Rambha once told a film magazine: 'Raghavendra Rao garu made me dance like I was born on a film set. I was a shy girl from Andhra, but he pulled out a performer from me.'
