• Raj Kapoor cast Zeenat Aman in 'Abdullah' (1980) after seeing her in 'Hare Rama Hare Krishna' — but he almost didn't. He thought her modern image wouldn't fit a period film. Zeenat convinced him by showing up to a meeting in a simple salwar kameez, no makeup. He signed her on the spot.
• On the set of 'Vakil Babu' (1982), Raj Kapoor would deliberately flub his lines in the first take just to make Zeenat laugh.
