• Mohan and Nalini first worked together in 'Gopurangal Saivathillai' (1982) because director Manivannan specifically wanted a fresh pair. Neither was a big star yet — that film put both of them on the map.
• In 'Nooravathu Naal' (1984), Mohan played a blind man and Nalini played his caretaker. She physically guided him through scenes off-camera too — he later said she 'became his eyes' during rehearsals.
• They shot 8 films together in 1984 alone. That's one film every 45 days. They reportedly finished '24 Mani Neram' in just 12 days of shooting.
• Their pairing in 'Magudi' (1984) directly inspired director Balu Mahendra to cast them again in 'Nooravathu Naal' — he saw their rhythm in a village setting and wanted to try it in a thriller.
