Trivia
- The film's title was inspired by the real-life 24-hour deadline concept used in Hollywood thrillers like 'Dying Room Only' and '24 Hours to Kill'.
- This was one of the earliest Tamil films to use a countdown narrative structure, building tension around a single day.
- Director Manivannan also played a supporting role in the film, as was common in many of his directorial ventures.
- The movie featured a then-popular villain actor, Jaishankar, in a negative role, which was a slight shift from his usual heroic image.
- It was released during a period when revenge dramas with urban settings were becoming popular in Tamil cinema.
- The climax involving the protagonist's prison escape and chase was noted for its fast-paced editing for that era.
- The film's soundtrack, composed by Shankar–Ganesh, included a hit romantic duet that contrasted with the tense plot.
