• Tanisha was cast in 'Neal 'n' Nikki' only after the original choice, Preity Zinta, backed out. Abhishek, who was already signed, personally vouched for Tanisha to director Arjun Sablok, saying she had the right 'goofy energy' for the role.
• In 'Sarkar' (2005), Abhishek played the intense, brooding son while Tanisha played his wife. She later said that Abhishek deliberately stayed in character between takes — silent and distant — which helped her feel the isolation her character needed to project on screen.
• Despite being cousins (Tanisha is Kajol's sister, Abhishek is Amitabh's son), they barely knew each other before 'Neal 'n' Nikki'. Tanisha admitted they had only met twice at family functions before the film. The shoot was their first real conversation.
