• Vadivelu and Namitha first shared screen space in 'Engal Anna' (2004) because the director wanted a tall, glamorous heroine to contrast with Vadivelu's short, comic frame — and Namitha, fresh off her debut, was the only one who agreed to do comedy opposite him.
• In 'Englishkaran' (2005), Vadivelu deliberately slowed down his comic timing during their scenes together — he told the director that Namitha's deadpan reactions were funnier if he gave her space to react, so he paused mid-dialogue to let her face do the work.
