
Dhool(2003)
'Dhool' is a 2003 Indian Tamil-language masala film written and directed by Dharani. The film stars Vikram and Jyothika in lead roles, with Reema Sen, Vivek, Sayaji Shinde, Telangana Shakuntala, and Pasupathy in supporting roles. The story follows Arumugam, a villager who travels to Chennai to petition a minister about water pollution caused by a chemical factory. He discovers the minister is corrupt and decides to expose him through a series of daring actions. The film is notable for its fast-paced narrative, blend of action and comedy, and a popular soundtrack by Vidyasagar. It was a commercial success, running for over 100 days in theatres, and won Vikram and Jyothika awards at the International Tamil Film Awards. The film was released on 14 January 2003 during the Pongal festival.

Storyline
A chemical factory is poisoning the water in Arumugam's village. He travels to Chennai to ask a minister for help. But the minister is in league with the factory owners. Arumugam must fight corrupt politicians, ruthless gangsters, and his own injuries to save his village and bring clean water back.
