• Bluffmaster (2005) was supposed to be a completely different film. The director Rohan Sippy originally wanted Abhishek to play a conman opposite a new actress. Priyanka was cast only after the original female lead dropped out at the last minute. She stepped in, and the two clicked so well that Sippy rewrote the entire second half to give them more scenes together.
• On the sets of Bluffmaster, Abhishek and Priyanka developed a rhythm where he would set the comic timing and she would match his beat with physical reactions. The director said they worked like a 'comedy relay' — Abhishek would throw a punchline, and Priyanka would catch it with a look or a gesture, never stepping on each other's lines.
• Dostana (2008) directly launched the trend of 'gay fake relationship' comedies in Bollywood. No mainstream Hindi film had ever used a same-sex pretend relationship as a plot device before. After Dostana's success, at least three copycat scripts were greenlit in the next two years — though none matched the original's box office.
• During the shooting of Drona (2008), Priyanka and Abhishek had a running bet: whoever flubbed a line first had to buy the entire crew chai. Priyanka lost the first day itself. By the end of the shoot, she had bought chai for the crew 14 times. Abhishek only lost twice.
• Abhishek once said in an interview: 'Priyanka is the only co-star who can make me forget my lines. She'll look at me with those eyes, and I'll just stand there like an idiot.' He said this during the promotions of Dostana.
