• Venu and Brahmanandam first shared screen space in 'Pellam Oorelithe' (2003) because the director, M.S. Narayana, specifically wrote Brahmanandam's role after seeing Venu's comic timing in a stage play. He told the press he wanted a 'straight man' who could keep a straight face while Brahmanandam went wild.
• In 'Sri Krishna 2006' (2006), Venu deliberately slowed down his dialogue delivery by half a beat during their scenes together. He later explained that Brahmanandam's comedy worked best when the other actor gave him a 'pause to pounce on' — that rhythm made their back-and-forth feel like a tennis rally.
