• Raj Kapoor was a huge fan of Nassar's work in 'Nayakan' (1987). He personally called Nassar to ask if he'd act opposite him in 'Sudhandhiram' (2000). Nassar said yes without even reading the script.
• In 'Vaanchinathan' (2001), Nassar played the villain while Raj Kapoor played the hero. But on set, Nassar would quietly rehearse Raj Kapoor's lines with him before every scene — helping the younger actor find the right rhythm for his dialogue delivery.

• In 'Saahasam' (2016), Nassar insisted on doing a fight scene with Raj Kapoor without stunt doubles. The director was terrified. But Nassar told him: 'If we fake it, the audience will know. Let us hit each other for real.' They did. Raj Kapoor's nose bled. The shot made the final cut.
