• For Subash (1996), director R. K. Selvamani cast Prakash Raj as the villain opposite Arjun's hero. That film was Prakash Raj's first major Tamil villain role — Arjun personally vouched for him after seeing his work in Telugu.
• In Sri Anjaneyam (2004), Arjun played a blind man who regains sight. Prakash Raj played the antagonist who torments him. The tension worked because Arjun's physicality (he did his own stunts) forced Prakash Raj to match that intensity with cold, calculated menace — no shouting, just stillness.
• Sollividava (2018) was a sleeper hit that directly led to more small-budget thriller experiments in Tamil cinema. The film's success proved that a two-character cat-and-mouse setup could work without big stars — and it was the last time these two shared screen space.
