Giri is a 2004 Indian Tamil-language action comedy film directed and co-written by Sundar C. The lead cast includes Arjun Sarja, Ramya, Reema Sen, Devayani, Vadivelu, and Prakash Raj. The story follows Giri, a loyal man who protects his best friend's widow and children from a ruthless gangster named Sethupathy. The film is set in two feuding villages separated by a river, with a central conflict rooted in revenge and family loyalty. Giri is notable for being actress Khushbu's production debut under her company Avni Cinemax. The film received mixed reviews but was a commercial success at the box office. It was later remade in Kannada as Shivarjuna in 2020. Giri was released on October 1, 2004.

Storyline
A man named Giri goes undercover as Shiva to protect his best friend's widow and children. The friend was killed by a powerful gangster from a rival village. Giri must fight to keep the family safe while hiding his true identity. But when the gangster discovers the truth, a bloody confrontation becomes unavoidable.
