• In 'Okka Ammayi Thappa' (2016), Tanikella Bharani played the strict father while Saptagiri was the comic relief friend. The film's funniest scene — where Saptagiri tries to explain modern love to Bharani's character — was entirely improvised by the two of them on set. The director kept the camera rolling.
• Tanikella Bharani is a trained theatre director and writer.
