• Tanikella Bharani wrote the dialogues for Uday Kiran's debut film 'Chitram' (2000). That film's success made Uday a star. Bharani then recommended Uday to director V. N. Aditya for 'Manasantha Nuvve' (2001), which became their first film together.
• In 'Nuvvu Nenu' (2001), Bharani played Uday's father. Their scenes together had a natural, unforced rhythm because Bharani would deliberately pause mid-dialogue to let Uday react — a trick he used to pull genuine, unscripted emotions out of the younger actor.
