• For 'Itlu Sravani Subramanyam' (2001), director Ravi Babu cast Tanikella Bharani first, then asked him to suggest someone for the lead. Bharani recommended Jeeva, who was still a newcomer. That one recommendation started their entire on-screen partnership.
• In 'Kabaddi Kabaddi' (2003), Jeeva played a hyperactive young man while Bharani played his weary father. Jeeva set the frantic pace in every scene, and Bharani deliberately slowed his delivery to create comic tension. The director said they never rehearsed — they just played off each other's natural rhythm.
• During the shoot of 'Chakram' (2005), Jeeva was going through a rough personal patch. Tanikella Bharani would sit with him between takes and recite poetry — not from the script, just random verses. Jeeva later said those moments helped him stay grounded through the film.
• Jeeva once said in an interview: 'Bharani garu is the only co-actor who can make me forget my lines just by looking at me. I have to work twice as hard to keep up with his eyes.'
• Their father-son dynamic in 'Kabaddi Kabaddi' (2003) was so well-received that director Venky Kudumula directly cited it as inspiration for the father-son banter in his 2020 hit 'Bheeshma'. That film starred Nithiin and Jagapathi Babu — a whole generation later.
• In 'Anumanaspadam' (2007), they played strangers who meet on a train. The entire first half was shot in a single compartment over 10 days. Jeeva kept improvising lines, and Bharani would respond with a completely different take each time. The editor had to pick from 40 versions of the same scene.
