• Urvashi and Mayilsamy first teamed up in Mappilai Vinayagar (2015) because the director needed a pair who could switch between slapstick and sentiment without missing a beat. Mayilsamy later admitted he was nervous acting opposite a veteran like Urvashi, but she broke the ice by deliberately flubbing her lines on the first take to make him laugh.
• In Adida Melam (2016), Urvashi would deliberately slow down her delivery during comic scenes to give Mayilsamy space to land his punchlines. He told a behind-the-scenes crew that she was the only co-star who let him set the rhythm instead of steamrolling him.
