• They first shared screen space in Kamal Haasan's 'Uttama Villain' (2015). Bhaskar played a theatre artist in the film-within-a-film, and Urvashi played his wife. The casting was Kamal's idea — he wanted two actors who could switch between comedy and pathos without missing a beat.
• In 'Meen Kuzhambum Mann Paanaiyum' (2016), Urvashi and Bhaskar played a bickering middle-aged couple. The director said they built the entire rhythm of their fights by improvising — Urvashi would speed up her lines to fluster Bhaskar, and he would deliberately pause longer to throw her off. That push-pull became the scene's comic engine.
• They never had a single rehearsal together before any of their six films. • Their pairing in 'Kadavul Irukaan Kumaru' (2016) — where they played a squabbling married couple who accidentally summon a god — directly inspired the 2022 web series 'Anbudan Kadhali' on a Tamil OTT platform. The showrunner admitted in a podcast that he cast a similar middle-aged bickering duo because 'nobody does that rhythm like Urvashi and Bhaskar.'
