• Radha Ravi and T. K. Bose first teamed up for 'Rasave Unnai Nambi' (1988) only because the original hero walked out mid-shoot. Bose, then a newcomer director, called Radha Ravi in a panic — and he showed up on set the next morning without even reading the full script.
• In 'Ennai Vittu Pogaathe' (1988), Bose deliberately wrote long, single-take monologues for Radha Ravi because he knew the actor could hold the camera without blinking. Radha Ravi, in turn, would rewrite his own lines on set to match Bose's rhythm — they never argued, just handed each other scribbled notes mid-scene.
• Their third film 'Pongi Varum Kaveri' (1989) was the first Tamil movie to feature a full-length song shot entirely on a moving train — a technique Bose learned from Radha Ravi, who had just returned from a shoot in Kerala and insisted they try it. That song became a template for later train sequences in 90s Tamil cinema.
• Radha Ravi and Bose had a standing ritual: before every first day of shoot, they'd share a single cup of filter coffee at the same shop in Kodambakkam. They did this for all four films, even when schedules clashed. After 'Kavithai Paadum Alaigal' (1990) flopped, they never had coffee together again.
