Pongi Varum Kaveri is a 1989 Indian Tamil-language drama film directed by T. K. Bose. It stars Ramarajan in a dual role as Raja and Muthu, alongside Gautami as Kaveri. The story follows a wealthy heir who returns to his estate and uncovers a corruption scheme by his manager. A poor look-alike named Muthu arrives and is forced to impersonate the heir. The film features themes of class struggle, justice, and sacrifice. It was produced by P. L. Palaniappan Chettiar under the Manorama Movies banner. The soundtrack by Ilaiyaraaja, especially the song 'Velli Kolusu', became popular. The film was released on 17 March 1989.

Storyline
A wealthy heir named Raja returns home after six years to find his manager stealing from the estate. After a murder attempt, a poor look-alike named Muthu arrives. The manager forces Muthu to pretend to be Raja. Muthu must expose the corruption while protecting the family he has come to love.
