• Manorama was already a star when she agreed to do Aayirathil Oruthi (1975). Sreekanth was a newcomer. She personally asked the director to cast him opposite her after seeing his screen test.
• In Ilaya Thalaimurai (1977), Manorama deliberately slowed down her usual rapid-fire dialogue delivery to match Sreekanth's more measured style. She later said she 'learned to breathe between lines' because of him.
• During the shoot of Manidharil Ithanai Nirangala (1978), Manorama and Sreekanth would rehearse scenes in the car on the way to the set. They never used the written script — they improvised the entire dialogue together.
• Sreekanth once told a magazine: 'Manorama didn't just act with me — she directed me. She'd stop mid-scene and say, "No, say it like this." I owe my first confident performance to her.'
• The success of their three films together convinced producer K. Balaji to cast them again in a fourth project — but Manorama's sudden illness in 1979 shelved it. That unfinished film was the only reason they never worked together again.
