• V. K. Ramasamy was already a veteran character actor when he was cast opposite a much younger Vanisri in 'Uyarndha Manidhan' (1968). The director had to convince the studio that an age-gap pairing could work — and it did, so well that they made three more films together.
• In 'Vasantha Maligai' (1972), Ramasamy deliberately slowed down his dialogue delivery to match Vanisri's natural rhythm. She later said that his patience made her feel like she was acting opposite a mirror, not a senior artist.
• On the sets of 'Annaiyum Pithavum' (1969), Ramasamy would bring homemade snacks for Vanisri every single day. She later revealed in an interview that he treated her like a daughter, and they'd often rehearse lines while sharing those snacks between takes.
• Their pairing in 'Ilaya Thalaimurai' (1977) was so well-received that it directly inspired a wave of father-daughter emotional dramas in late-70s Tamil cinema — most notably 'Mangudi Minor', which copied their on-screen dynamic beat for beat.
