• For their first film Yaar (1985), director R. Sundarrajan paired them because he wanted a fresh father-son dynamic — Arjun was just 22 and Delhi Ganesh was 41. Ganesh later said he was nervous playing dad to a guy only 19 years younger.
• In Thangaikku Oru Thalattu (1990), Arjun played the protective brother while Delhi Ganesh played the comic father. Ganesh’s timing forced Arjun to slow down his usual action-hero energy — Arjun admitted in an interview that Ganesh taught him how to pause for a laugh.
