• Brahmanandam was the one who suggested Naga Chaitanya for 'Oka Laila Kosam' after seeing his comic timing in earlier films. The director was initially hesitant, but Brahmanandam insisted he could handle the comedy track.
• In 'Dohchay', Brahmanandam deliberately slowed down his delivery in every scene with Chaitanya. He told the director that Chaitanya's natural rhythm was faster, so he adjusted his own timing to let the younger actor lead the pace — a rare move from a veteran comedian.
• During the shoot of 'Dhada', Brahmanandam would call Chaitanya 'babai' (uncle) on set as a joke, because Chaitanya's grandfather was a contemporary of his. The nickname stuck through all three films.
• Brahmanandam said in a 2015 interview: 'Naga Chaitanya is the only young hero who never once complained about my jokes overshadowing his scenes. He just laughed along and asked for more.'
