• Venkatesh was already a star when Ali was a struggling comedian. For 'Pokkiri Raja' (1994), director K. Raghavendra Rao specifically paired them because he wanted a loud, physical comedy contrast — Ali's manic energy against Venkatesh's straight-man cool. Ali later said he was terrified of messing up opposite a hero of Venkatesh's stature.
• In 'Super Police' (1994), Ali improvised an entire scene where he pretends to be a blind beggar while Venkatesh hides behind him.
