• Soundarya was already a star when they first worked together in Mayalodu (1993). Rajendra Prasad was the one who insisted she be cast opposite him, even though the director thought she was too big for the role.
• In Rajendrudu Gajendrudu (1993), Rajendra Prasad played a double role. Soundarya had to match two different energies in the same scene — one comic, one serious. She later said that switching gears between his two characters in a single take was the hardest thing she did that year.
• On the sets of Mayalodu, Rajendra Prasad would rehearse his comic timing with Soundarya before every shot. She wasn't a natural comedian, so he'd walk her through the rhythm line by line. She called him her 'comedy coach' on set.
• Soundarya once said in an interview: 'Rajendra Prasad made me feel like I could do comedy. He never let me feel like the weaker actor in the scene.'
• Their third film together, Ninne Premista (2000), was a remake of a Tamil hit. But the Telugu version is remembered mostly because it was Soundarya's last film before she shifted focus to production. She never acted opposite Rajendra Prasad again.
