• Balakrishna personally requested Sonal Chauhan for Legend (2014) after seeing her in a Hindi film. She was hesitant about Telugu cinema, but he promised her a strong role — and she signed.
• In Dictator (2016), Balakrishna deliberately slowed down his dialogue delivery in their scenes together. He told the director that Sonal's natural rhythm was softer, so he matched her pace to make the romance feel believable.
