- On the sets of 'Bangaru Bullodu', Pinisetty let Balakrishna improvise most of his dialogue-heavy scenes. Balakrishna would rewrite lines on the spot, and Pinisetty would just adjust the camera to follow him — no retakes, no arguments.
- During the shoot of 'Devudu', Balakrishna and Pinisetty had a massive argument over the climax scene. Balakrishna wanted a longer fight sequence; Pinisetty walked off set for two hours. They patched up over coffee the same evening and shot the original version.
- The only reason 'Ek Anari Do Khiladi' exists is because Pinisetty convinced Balakrishna to do a bilingual with Hindi actor Chunky Pandey. That film directly led to Balakrishna working with Pandey again in 'Bhairava Dweepam' — a cult classic that still gets memed.
- Ravi Raja Pinisetty once said in an interview: 'Balakrishna doesn't need a director. He needs someone to hold the camera and stay out of his way. That's what I did.'
