• Nagendra Babu and Brahmaji first shared screen space in 2004's '143 (and I Miss You)', but their real breakthrough as a pair came nine years later in 'Baadshah' (2013). Director Srinu Vaitla deliberately paired them as comic foils — Nagendra Babu's deadpan authority vs Brahmaji's frantic energy — and the audience loved it so much that Vaitla wrote bigger scenes for them in the second half.
• In 'Soggade Chinni Nayana' (2016), Nagendra Babu played the stern father and Brahmaji the bumbling sidekick. What made their scenes pop: Nagendra Babu would deliberately pause his dialogue delivery by half a beat, forcing Brahmaji to fill the silence with nervous stammering.
