• Their first film together, Chala Bagundi (2000), was a remake of the Tamil hit 'Kadhalar Dhinam'. Naveen and Srikanth were both relatively new then — the director chose them specifically to recreate the youthful energy of the original's lead pair.
• In Maa Aavida Meda Ottu Mee Aavida Chala Manchidi (2001), Srikanth played the comic relief while Naveen carried the romantic lead. Srikanth's timing pushed Naveen to react faster in scenes — Naveen later said Srikanth's improvisations forced him to stay on his toes.
