• Santhanam personally requested Stunt Silva to choreograph the action for 'Kanna Laddu Thinna Aasaiya' (2013) because he wanted a comedy film to have real, grounded fight scenes — not the over-the-top stuff. Silva was hesitant at first, thinking a comedian's film wouldn't need his style, but Santhanam convinced him by saying the fights had to look as real as the jokes.
• On the sets of 'Thalaivaa' (2013), Stunt Silva would block out the entire fight sequence first, then Santhanam would step in and add one-liners during the action beats.
