• They first met on the set of Joker (2012), but neither had a scene together. Director Shirish Kunder saw them hanging out between shots and rewrote a sequence just to get them on screen together.
• In Choron Ki Baraat (2015), Sanjay Mishra kept breaking character mid-scene to make Darshan Jariwala laugh. Darshan would then reset the scene by delivering his lines in a deadpan monotone — that push-pull became the film's comic rhythm.
• During the shoot of Laali Ki Shaadi Mein Laddoo Deewana (2017), the two shared a room in a small UP town for three weeks. They'd rehearse dialogues at 2 AM while eating leftover laddoos from the set.
