• Rishi Kapoor personally pushed for Tina Munim to be cast in 'Karz' (1980). She was a newcomer with just one hit, but Rishi convinced the director she had the right intensity for the reincarnation drama.
• In 'Yeh Vaada Raha' (1982), Rishi deliberately slowed down his usual fast-paced delivery to match Tina's more measured, naturalistic style. He later said she made him a more patient actor.
• The song 'Dil Lena Khel Hai Dildar Ka' from 'Yeh Vaada Raha' (1982) became a template for the 'angry young woman' dance number in 80s Hindi cinema. Tina's defiant, almost confrontational body language in that song was copied by actresses in at least three later films.
• During the shoot of 'Bade Dil Wala' (1983), Tina Munim would cook Rishi's favourite Gujarati snacks on set. He was the only co-star she ever did that for. They remained close friends until his death.
