• Chunky Pandey was a junior artist on the sets of Khatron Ke Khiladi (1988) before he got his break. Sanjay Dutt spotted him hanging around and convinced the director to give Chunky a proper role. That film became Chunky's debut as a lead.
• In Zahreelay (1990), Sanjay Dutt played the intense, brooding hero while Chunky Pandey handled all the comic relief. They never swapped roles — Sanjay stayed straight-faced, Chunky did the slapstick. That clear division of labour made their scenes click.
