• Satish Kaushik and Annu Kapoor first met on the sets of Aadharshila (1982) — a film directed by the legendary Shyam Benegal. Kaushik was an assistant director on the film, and Kapoor was cast as a supporting actor. That's where their friendship began, long before they shared screen space.
• In Ram Lakhan (1989), Kaushik played the comic sidekick to Anil Kapoor's character, while Annu Kapoor played a loud, corrupt politician. Their scenes together were a masterclass in contrast — Kaushik's frantic, physical comedy bounced off Kapoor's deadpan, booming delivery.
