• Both Mithun and Aditya were cast in 'Ajnabi Saaya' (1998) because the director needed two actors who could convincingly play a ghost and a haunted man — and neither was the first choice. The original leads backed out last minute, so the producer called Mithun, who then insisted on bringing in Aditya, whom he had just met at a gym.
• In 'Devta' (1998), Mithun played the stoic, silent avenger while Aditya played the loud, impulsive sidekick. Aditya later said in an interview that Mithun deliberately slowed down his own dialogue delivery so Aditya's frantic energy would pop more on screen — a trick Mithun learned from working with Amitabh Bachchan.
• During the shoot of 'Military Raaj' (1998), Mithun and Aditya shared a room in a small hotel in Ooty because the production budget was so tight. Aditya later recalled that Mithun would wake him up at 5 AM every day to practice fight choreography in the garden — and that's how they nailed the climax scene in one take.
• Aditya Pancholi once said about Mithun: 'He taught me that a hero doesn't need to shout to be heard. In 'Devta', I was screaming in every scene. He just looked at me and whispered his lines. The director kept his takes.'
• The only reason these three films exist in the same year is that Mithun and Aditya made a pact: if one got a solo film offer, he'd demand the other be cast as co-lead. This pact directly led to 'Ajnabi Saaya' being greenlit — the producer only agreed because he got two stars for the price of one.
