• Ayan Mukerji first met Ranbir Kapoor when Ranbir was just an assistant director on the sets of 'Black' (2005). Ayan was so impressed by Ranbir's energy that he wrote 'Wake Up Sid' specifically for him, years before either had a hit.
• On 'Yeh Jawaani Hai Deewani', Ranbir pushed Ayan to rewrite the entire second half during the shoot. Ayan later admitted Ranbir's instinct for emotional beats saved the film from being just a travelogue.
