• Asrani and T.L.V. Prasad first teamed up for 'Janata Ki Adalat' (1994) because Prasad needed a reliable comic foil for his action hero — and Asrani, fresh off his iconic 'Sholay' fame, was the cheapest name he could get on a tight budget.
• In 'Daanveer' (1996), Prasad let Asrani improvise most of his dialogue on set. Asrani would riff for five minutes straight while Prasad just kept the camera rolling — then cut the best 20 seconds into the final scene.
• During the shoot of 'Shera' (1999), Asrani and Prasad shared a room in a cheap Ooty lodge for three weeks. Asrani later said Prasad snored so loud that he wrote his entire next day's lines just to stay awake.
• "Prasad saab never told me the full story. He'd just say 'Asrani ji, aap comedy karo, main action karunga.' That was our entire plan." — Asrani, in a 2017 interview about their working style.
