The director of Pyar Ka Mandir (1988) only cast them together because both were available at short notice after the original leads walked out.
• In Pyar Ka Mandir (1988), Raj Kiran deliberately slowed down his dialogue delivery to match Aruna Irani's more measured rhythm. She later told a trade magazine that his patience made her feel 'safe enough to cry on cue without rushing the scene.'
