• They first clashed in Jaani Dushman (1979) because the director, Rajkumar Kohli, deliberately cast two alpha male stars as rivals. Kohli wanted real tension on set — and got it. Neither actor spoke to each other off-camera for the first week.
• In Khudgarz (1987), Shatrughan played the loud, aggressive villain while Jeetendra played the soft-hearted hero. The trick? Jeetendra deliberately underplayed every scene opposite Shatrughan — he told a trade magazine later that he knew if he matched Shatrughan's volume, the audience would get a headache.
• Despite playing bitter enemies on screen, Jeetendra was the one who recommended Shatrughan for a role in Hoshiyar (1985) after the original actor dropped out. He called the producer directly and said, 'Take him, he'll scare the audience for real.'

• Shatrughan Sinha once said in a 1995 interview: 'Jeetendra and I never had a fight. We just had a professional understanding — he would play the good man, I would play the bad man, and the audience would decide who was right.'
• In Zamana Deewana (1995), their last film together, the director made them swap energies for one scene — Jeetendra had to shout and Shatrughan had to stay calm. It was the only time in their five-film partnership that the dynamic flipped, and the scene reportedly took 14 takes because both kept laughing.
