Omkara(2006)
Omkara (2006) is a Hindi-language crime drama film directed by Vishal Bhardwaj. It stars Ajay Devgn, Kareena Kapoor, Saif Ali Khan, and Konkona Sen Sharma. The story is an adaptation of William Shakespeare's Othello, set in the political underworld of Meerut, Uttar Pradesh. It follows Omkara, a loyal enforcer, who is manipulated by his jealous lieutenant into believing his wife is unfaithful. The film is noted for its raw performances, powerful dialogues, and folk-inspired music. It received critical acclaim and multiple Filmfare Awards. Storyline
Omkara is a powerful political enforcer in rural Uttar Pradesh. He loves Dolly and marries her against all odds. His jealous lieutenant, Langda Tyagi, plants false evidence to make Omkara believe Dolly is unfaithful. Blinded by rage, Omkara destroys everything he loves.
