'Qayamat: City Under Threat' is a 2003 Indian Hindi-language action thriller film directed by Harry Baweja. The story follows a CBI officer who recruits a former prisoner to infiltrate a jail taken over by terrorists armed with virus-loaded missiles. The film is a remake of the 1996 American film 'The Rock' and was shot in Australia, Mauritius, and Diu. It was the first Indian film to undergo digital color correction. Storyline
A group of terrorists takes over a Mumbai jail and holds 213 tourists hostage. They threaten to launch missiles filled with a deadly virus into the city's water supply. A CBI officer must recruit a silent, broken man named Rachit, who is the only person to have ever escaped from that jail. Together, they must stop the terrorists before the city faces an apocalypse.
