Trivia

  • The film's climax was shot at a real abandoned jail in Mumbai, the Arthur Road Jail, which added to the gritty atmosphere.
  • Actor Ajay Devgn performed most of his own stunts, including a dangerous helicopter sequence, without a body double.
  • The movie was originally planned as a sequel to the 1994 film 'Vijaypath' but the script evolved into a standalone thriller.
  • It was one of the earliest Bollywood films to depict a bioterrorism plot, inspired by global fears after the 2001 anthrax attacks.
  • The soundtrack included a remix of the 1980s hit 'Pyar Humein Kis Mod Pe Le Aaya', which gained popularity independently.
  • Director Harry Baweja's son, Harman Baweja, worked as an assistant director on this film before his own acting debut.
  • Despite mixed reviews, the film was a moderate box office success, especially in single-screen theaters across India.
