• They first met on the set of Qayamat: City Under Threat (2003), but Neha almost didn't get the role. The producers wanted a bigger name, but director Harry Baweja pushed for her after she auditioned opposite Sunil. Sunil later admitted he was skeptical until the first scene — then he told Baweja, 'She's the one.'
• In Chup Chup Ke (2006), Sunil played the loud, desperate debtor and Neha played the quiet, mysterious woman. The trick was that Sunil kept improvising goofy lines to make Neha break character — and her genuine, suppressed laughter became the character's shyness. The director kept those takes.
• Their pairing in Shootout at Lokhandwala (2007) directly led to Neha being cast in the same director's next film, the hit comedy De Dana Dan (2009). Sunil recommended her to director Priyadarshan after seeing her raw energy in the shootout scenes.
• On the sets of Dus Kahaniyaan (2007), Sunil and Neha developed a running joke: every time a scene got too serious, one of them would whisper 'Rakht' — a reference to their famously over-the-top horror film from 2004. It became their way of breaking tension on every film after that.
